AI video tool alternatives: what each one accepts and returns.

Aisma edits one clip you already shot, 2–60 seconds long, from a written request and up to 10 photos, and returns it at 720p or 1080p with your framing and audio. The table below sets that beside Runway, Kling AI, Higgsfield and six others, using each company’s own published facts.

What stays

  • Your framing and the clip’s length
  • Your original audio
  • The camera move and the timing

What changes

  • What your request names, in every shot it appears in

What each tool accepts,
and what it returns.

We make Aisma, so read its line as the maker’s own. Every other line comes from that company’s public pages.

Every tool here can change footage you upload. They differ in what they ask for, how much of a clip they take and what they hand back, and that’s all this table compares. It says nothing about which results look better.

READING THE TABLE

Four questions
that settle it.

Do you already have the footage?

Every tool here can start from a clip you upload. If you need footage that doesn’t exist yet, you want a generator, and most of this list includes one. Aisma doesn’t: it edits what you shot.

See what Aisma returns

How long is the clip?

Aisma takes 2–60 seconds in one go. Most of the others stop at 30 seconds or less, and Viggle takes longer uploads for swapping characters. The Longest clip column has each limit.

Does your sound have to stay?

Aisma keeps your original audio, and Luma’s FAQ says Modify Video does too. The other pages don’t say, or describe generating new sound, so try a clip with speech before you commit.

How do you want to direct it?

None of these pages asks you to draw a mask. Aisma works from a written request and, when a specific look matters, photos. Runway also lets you edit one frame and carry it through. Kling AI and Luma offer keyframes, Kling AI and Hailuo AI take video and voice references, and Higgsfield has a motion library and presets.

How to write the request

HIGGSFIELD ALTERNATIVE

Looking for a
Higgsfield alternative?

Higgsfield’s Genjutsu rebuilds part of an existing video. Object Swap changes a character, outfit, product, location or object and leaves the rest of the shot alone; Motion Transfer keeps the movement, camera and timing and rebuilds everything else from your references. It takes clips of 4 to 30 seconds and up to 30 reference images, and outputs at up to 1080p.

Aisma is the one to look at when your clip runs past 30 seconds, or when you’d rather write the change in a sentence than choose a mode and gather references. It takes one clip of 2 to 60 seconds, a written request and up to 10 photos, and returns 720p or 1080p with your framing and original audio.

Stay with Higgsfield if you want its library of trending motions, many versions from one setup or generators for footage you don’t have. We haven’t published a side-by-side test, so we make no claim about whose results look better.

TOOL BY TOOL

What each one is for,
and when to pick it.

  • Runway alternative

Edit Studio edits clips of up to 30 seconds at 1080p from a description or one edited frame, and carries the change across shots. Aisma takes clips of up to 60 seconds and works from words and photos.

    Pick Runway for

previewing the look on a frame before you generate, or making new footage with its generators.

  • Kling AI alternative

Precise Video Editing takes up to five clips totaling 30 seconds, with a prompt and references, and can change dialogue. Aisma takes one clip of up to 60 seconds and leaves the sound as recorded.

    Pick Kling AI for

combining several clips in one edit, rewriting a line or generating new scenes.

  • Hailuo AI alternative

Hailuo AI mixes text, image, video and audio references into results of 5 to 15 seconds at 768p or 2K, each with generated stereo sound. Aisma returns your own clip at its own length, with its original audio.

    Pick Hailuo AI for

a new short clip, 2K output or a changed voice.

  • Google Flow alternative

Google Flow takes an upload of up to 60 seconds, has you trim it to 30 and edits up to 10 seconds at a time at 720p, in the countries where the feature is available. Aisma applies one request across the whole clip, at 720p or 1080p.

    Pick Google Flow for

refining a short segment over follow-up prompts, or building scenes from clips you generate there.

  • Pika alternative

Swap Anything changes characters, clothing, backgrounds or props from your clip and references, and keeps the timing and motion. Pika shows its limits inside the app, so the table can’t compare them. Aisma publishes its limits and handles clothes, backgrounds and products from a written request.

    Pick Pika for

its wider set of apps on one account, such as Soundtrack, Relight Media and Extend Video.

  • Adobe Firefly alternative

Firefly takes MP4 or MOV clips under 200 MB and 5 to 20 seconds and edits them from a prompt, beside a layered timeline in a desktop editor. Aisma takes clips of up to 60 seconds and 500 MB, on the web and in the phone apps.

    Pick Adobe Firefly for

work that already lives in Adobe’s apps, or a timeline and audio tools in one place.

  • Viggle alternative

Viggle swaps characters: one photo replaces a whole person in a video or template, with uploads of up to 10 minutes on paid plans. Aisma can replace a person from photos too, in clips of up to 60 seconds, and its requests can also change clothes or a background.

    Pick Viggle for

memes, dance clips, its video templates and live swaps.

  • Timeline editors

A timeline editor such as Adobe Premiere is where you cut clips together and add titles and music. Aisma has no timeline: it changes what’s inside one clip and returns a file you can cut there. Here’s how prompt, timeline and mask editing compare.

    Pick one for

assembling the whole video, with the Aisma result as one of its clips.

IF AISMA FITS

Three steps. No timeline.

  1. Choose your video

MP4 or MOV, 2–60 seconds, up to 500 MB. Your original framing is kept.

  2. Say what should change

In plain words. Add up to 10 photos when a specific look matters.

  3. Review credits, then generate

Pick 720p or 1080p. Aisma shows the credits first, and the finished edit arrives in your private Library.

Try it on your video

Try this request

This is everything we gave Aisma for the wedding clip at the top of this page, word for word: three sentences, with no mask, keyframe or photo.

One sentence points at the person, one says what belongs in the gap and one lists what must not move. Set that beside the “What you give it” column when you decide how much setup you want.

We ran it once at 1080p and kept that result.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Comparing AI video tools,
answered.

Which AI video tools edit a clip I already shot?

All ten on this page can start from your upload: Aisma, Runway, Kling AI, Hailuo AI, Higgsfield, Google Flow, Pika, Adobe Firefly, Viggle for swapping characters, and Luma. They differ in what they take, how long a clip can be and what comes back, which is what the table shows.

What’s a good Runway alternative for footage I already shot?

It depends on the clip. Runway’s Edit Studio takes up to 30 seconds; Aisma takes 2–60 seconds, works from a written request and photos, and keeps your original audio. If you want to edit a frame and preview the look before you generate, Runway does that and Aisma doesn’t. We compare published facts here, not results.

Which of these tools keep my original audio?

Aisma does, and Luma’s FAQ says Modify Video does. Hailuo AI generates stereo sound with every result, and Kling AI says it can change dialogue. The other pages we read don’t say, so try a clip with speech before you commit to any of them.

Which of them can take a 60-second clip?

Aisma takes 2–60 seconds in one go. Viggle takes longer uploads on paid plans, for swapping characters. Google Flow accepts a 60-second upload, then has you trim it to 30 seconds and edits up to 10 at a time. Runway, Kling AI and Higgsfield stop at 30 seconds, Adobe Firefly at 20, and Hailuo AI’s results run up to 15. Luma’s limit depends on frame rate: 20 seconds at 24 fps. Pika shows its limits in the app.

Can Aisma make a video from text alone?

No. Aisma edits video you already shot, so it needs your clip. If you need footage that doesn’t exist yet, a tool with Yes in the table’s last column is the better fit.

Do I need masks or keyframes in Aisma?

No. You write the change in plain words and add photos when a specific look matters. There are no masks, keyframes or timeline, and the result comes back at your clip’s length and framing, ready to cut in the editor you already use. The guide to removing someone from a video shows the same request beside the manual methods.

Where can I see what Aisma actually returns?

The wedding clip at the top plays in full. The examples library lists every edit this site plays with its request, and each example page, like the wedding removal, prints its brief word for word.

Have you tested these tools side by side?

We haven’t published a side-by-side test, so this page makes no claim about which results look better. It compares only what each company publishes: inputs, limits, output and audio. We make Aisma, so read its line as the maker’s own.

Why aren’t prices in the table?

Plans and credits differ too much to line up in one column, and they change often, so each company’s own page is the place to check. An Aisma edit costs 10 credits per second at 720p or 20 at 1080p, and you see the exact price before you generate. Packs and weekly plans are on the price list.

Are these real results?

Yes. The wedding clip at the top of this comparison is a real Aisma edit of the original shown with it, made from the one request this page prints. Your result depends on your clip and request.
