VIDEO STYLE TRANSFER

Restyle your video with AI.

Video style transfer redraws footage you already shot in a new look: wool, paper, clay, a comic drawing or watercolor. In Aisma you name the look in plain words. The movement, the timing and the camera follow your original, and your sound stays as recorded.

One dog. Four materials.

Example requestmake everything in this video look knitted from wool

What stays

  • Every move, at the same moment
  • Where things sit in the frame
  • Your camera and framing
  • Your original audio

What changes

  • The look you name, from felt to watercolor
  • Or only the setting, when your subject should stay as filmed

What you bring

Your video + the look, in plain words

ON A PERSON

Same steps, same box.
Painted in watercolor.

Our first request for this clip asked for carved wood and came back looking like a toy figurine, so we tried watercolor instead. The painted version keeps every step she takes and the way the camera follows her.

Examples marked Previous version were recorded with a previous version of Aisma. Results vary with your clip and request.

WORD FOR WORD

Four requests,
exactly as we sent them.

Under each look in the player you see a short example request. Each card below holds the full brief we sent for the dog in September 2026: first the look, then what stays.

  • Wool

    The brief

Turn the entire scene, including the dog, ball and room, into a handmade wool-and-felt miniature with yarn fur and stitched seams. Keep the dog's movement toward the ball, the layout and the camera.

    What changed

The dog, the rug and the ball turned to felt, while the sofa and the shelves stayed close to the original, just softer.

    What stayed

The hop a little after the six-second mark, and the ball right where it lay.

  • Paper

    The brief

Turn the entire scene, including the dog, ball and room, into layered cut-paper and folded cardstock with visible edges and deep paper shadows. Keep the dog's movement toward the ball, the layout and the camera.

    What changed

The dog came back as folded paper and the rug as one flat sheet with a curled edge; the room took on a smoother, illustrated look.

    What stayed

The dog’s path across the rug and the low camera that never moves.

  • Ink

    The brief

Turn the entire scene into bold hand-drawn comic art with expressive ink contours and flat cel colors, no words or speech bubbles. Keep the dog's movement toward the ball, the layout and the camera.

    What changed

Every surface was redrawn in ink outlines and flat color, down to the pattern on the rug.

    What stayed

The room’s layout, from the bookshelf on the left to the sofa by the window.

  • Clay

    The brief

Turn the entire scene, including the dog, ball and room, into chunky hand-sculpted plasticine with visible fingerprints and rounded simplified shapes. Keep the dog's movement toward the ball, the layout and the camera.

    What changed

Everything went smooth and rounded, from the dog’s white ruff to the trees outside the window.

    What stayed

The timing: the dog reaches the ball and stops beside it at the same moment as in the original.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you begin.

What is video style transfer?

It’s an edit that redraws every frame of real footage in a new look while the action stays the same. In Aisma you describe the look in plain words, like “make this video look like it’s made of paper,” and the result keeps the length, framing and sound of your clip, so you can cut between the two versions in your usual editor.

How is a restyle different from an AI video filter?

Most filters lay an effect over your footage, such as a color grade or film grain. A restyle redraws the footage itself, so the dog on this page turns into felt or folded paper and still hops at the same moment. For one physical event inside a shot, like petals flying off a bouquet, see AI video effects.

Can I turn a video into a cartoon or anime?

A cartoon, yes. The comic version of the dog on this page came back with every surface outlined in ink and filled with flat color. Anime isn’t among our published examples yet, so that comic dog is the closest look we can show you. If your project needs anime, write to support@aisma.ai and tell us about the clip.

Will my subject still look like itself?

In our examples, yes. The dog keeps its white blaze and brown ears in all four versions, even as felt or clay, and it follows the same path at the same pace. A full restyle redraws your subject too, so if a person needs to stay photographic, restyle only the background.

Can I restyle only the background?

Yes. Name the setting and say your subject stays as filmed, for example “turn the living room into cut paper, keep the dog as filmed.” If you’d rather move your subject somewhere else entirely, the background changer shows one walk passing through three different worlds.

Does restyling work on people?

Yes. In the watercolor example a woman carries a box to a small table, and the painted version keeps every step and the same camera move. She is painted along with the room, face and clothes included, and small details can drift: the painting warmed her dark brown hair to auburn. On the video to video page, the same clip gets a blue suit and a space greenhouse instead.

What kind of clips restyle best?

Steady shots with one clear subject. The dog clip is a single 10-second take from a low, fixed viewpoint, and with a previous version of Aisma, all four looks came back usable on the first try. Trim your clip to the moment you want before uploading. Each shot is priced on its own, rounded up to whole seconds with at least 2 seconds per shot, so a montage of quick cuts adds up faster than one long take.

Can I restyle a video longer than a minute?

Today Aisma takes clips from 2 to 60 seconds, up to 500 MB, as MP4 or MOV files, so restyle a longer video one minute at a time. Support for longer clips is on our roadmap. If you need it, write to support@aisma.ai and tell us how long your videos run.

How much does it cost to restyle a video?

It’s 8 credits per second at 720p and 16 at 1080p. A single-shot 10-second clip like the dog costs 80 credits at 720p or 160 at 1080p. Aisma shows the exact price before you generate, reserves it and returns anything unused. New web accounts can get their first three edits ready before buying credits; rendering starts once the credits are in place. Packs and weekly plans are on the pricing page.

What if the look doesn’t reach far enough?

Open the result, choose Edit a clip and redo the part that falls short with a clarification, such as “make the sofa and the shelves felt too.” You see that part’s price before it runs. Or start over: Recreate brings back the same clip so you can try a different look, and nothing is charged until you press Generate.

Are these real results?

Yes. The dog in four materials and the watercolor walk are real Aisma edits of the originals shown with them, and Full Aisma edit plays each look whole. Examples marked Previous version were recorded with a previous version of Aisma. Before → After views show the original and the edit at the same moment of the clip, never cropped, sped up or retouched. Your result depends on your clip and request.
