Plain gray wall changed to a home office behind a speaker.

Aisma, an AI video editor for clips you’ve already shot, replaced the plain gray wall behind this speaker with a cozy home office from a written request: no green screen and no photo. His face, his gestures and his white T-shirt came through unchanged, and the light on him turned warmer to match the lamps. Below is the brief we sent, word for word.

Example requestchange the gray wall behind him to a cozy home office

What stays

  • His face and expressions
  • His hand gestures
  • His white T-shirt and the framing

What changes

  • The plain gray wall behind him
  • A home office with a bookshelf, a plant and warm lamps takes its place

What you bring

An 11.5-second clip + a written request (no photo)

The request under the player is the everyday version. This is the brief we actually sent: three sentences, no photo.

The first sentence builds the room from three things you’d expect behind someone on a video call: a wooden bookshelf, a green plant and a warm desk lamp. The second keeps the speaker exactly as he is, down to his expressions, and the third asks for the warm light of the new room to fall on him too.

We ran it once at 720p and kept the result. Aisma added a few things the brief didn’t list, a second lamp, a wall clock and gray curtains, and the room sits slightly out of focus behind him, the way a real room would behind someone close to the camera.

The brief we sent, word for word

Change the plain gray wall behind him to a cozy home office with a wooden bookshelf, a green plant and a warm desk lamp. Keep him, his white T-shirt, his face, his expressions and the camera. Match the warm light on him.

Up close

Look past his shoulder,
then at his face.

The room

A wooden bookshelf with books and a small sculpture, a potted plant, a black desk lamp and a second lamp with a warm shade fill the space where the gray wall was.

The light

The new room is lit by warm lamps, and his face and T-shirt picked up that warmth, as the last sentence of the brief asked.

The camera

The blank wall in the original gives nothing to measure the camera against. In the edit the shelf shifts a little as he talks, the way a room does behind a handheld camera.

For a background change of your own, a clip where you stand in front of a plain, evenly lit wall, like this one, leaves the most room for the new place. Name three or four things you’d expect to see there and let Aisma fill in the rest.

Backgrounds for talking
to the camera.

Starting points for videos where you speak to the camera. None of these are results on this page; keep the order of the brief above, the new place first and then what stays.

  • Course intro

Change the white wall behind me to a bright classroom with a whiteboard. Keep me and my microphone.

  • Bakery update

Change the wall behind me to a bakery counter with bread on wooden shelves. Keep me and my apron.

  • Book club video

Change the wall behind me to a cozy library with tall shelves and a reading chair. Keep me and the book in my hands.

  • Coach check-in

Change the hallway behind me to a gym with racks of weights. Keep me and my gestures.

  • Holiday greeting

Change the wall behind us to a living room with a decorated tree and a fireplace. Keep both of us.

  • Job application video

Change the blank wall behind me to a quiet office with a window. Keep my face and the light on it.

Does the place have to be a real one, like your own shop? Add a photo of it as Photo 1 and say it goes behind you.

HOW IT WORKS

Put a new room
behind your own clip.

  1. Choose your video

MP4 or MOV, 2–60 seconds, up to 500 MB. Your original framing is kept.

  2. Describe the new room

Name the place and a few things in it, then say who stays.

  3. Review credits, then generate

Pick 720p or 1080p. Aisma shows the credits first, and the finished edit arrives in your private Library.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you begin.

Is the home office a real Aisma result?

Yes. We sent the brief above once, and this is what Aisma returned. Before → After lines up the original and the edit at the same moment, and Full Aisma edit plays the whole clip. The original is a stock clip from Pexels.

Do I need a green screen?

No. The original is a man in front of a plain gray wall, and the office came from words alone, with no green screen, no mask and no photo. A plain wall like this one is the easiest start, but it isn’t required: our snowy forest edit began in an apartment corridor.

Will the light on me change?

It can, and it helps to ask. This brief ends with “Match the warm light on him,” and in the edit his face and T-shirt are warmer than in the original. If part of your result still looks lit for the old wall, redo that part with Edit a clip and a line about the light.

What did Aisma add that the brief didn’t ask for?

A few things a home office often has: a second lamp with a warm shade, a wall clock and gray curtains at the left. The brief named only a bookshelf, a plant and a desk lamp, so the rest came from Aisma. If something must not appear, say so, such as “no clock on the wall.”

What does a background change like this cost?

This clip runs 11.5 seconds, and Aisma counts each shot in whole seconds, so it bills as 12: 120 credits at 720p, the quality we used, or 240 at 1080p. That’s 10 credits a second at 720p and 20 at 1080p. The price shows before you press Generate, and any part that fails is refunded in credits. See the pricing page for packs and plans.

Can I change the background of a longer talking video?

Yes, up to 60 seconds per clip, as an MP4 or MOV file of up to 500 MB. Your result keeps the clip’s length, framing and original audio. For a longer recording, split it into parts of 60 seconds or less.
