Dark brown curls changed to copper red in a windy clip.

From a three-sentence request and no photo, the AI video editor Aisma turned this woman’s dark brown curls bright copper red across an 8-second clip, with the curls still blowing in the wind. Her white T-shirt, the wall and the camera stayed as filmed. Below are the brief we sent and the details worth a closer look, including one we didn’t ask for.

The request under the player is the quick way to say it. The brief we actually sent is below: three sentences and no photo.

The first sentence names the old color and the new one. The second keeps what makes the clip, the curls, their volume and the way they move in the wind, and the third keeps everything around the hair.

We ran it once at 720p and kept the result. One detail we didn’t ask for: small earrings show on her ear in the edit, where the original shows none. If a detail like that matters to you, put it in the keep list.

The brief we sent, word for word

Change her dark brown curly hair to a bright copper red. Keep the same curls, volume and the way it moves in the wind. Keep her face, her white T-shirt, the wall, lighting and camera.

Up close

Follow the curls,
then check her ear.

The curls

The copper curls lift and fall with each gust, with the volume of the original, and loose strands that blow across her cheek turn copper too.

The T-shirt

Her oversized white tee keeps its rolled sleeves and folds, and the pale wall and the window frame behind her don’t change.

Her ear

In the edit her ear shows small earrings that the original never shows. The brief kept her face but said nothing about jewelry.

Hair color changes hold up best when the hair is in clear view and evenly lit. Wind and movement are fine, as this clip shows; name anything near the hair that has to stay as it is, like earrings or a headband.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you begin.

Is this a real Aisma edit?

It is. Aisma made it from the brief above on the first run, earrings included, and we kept it as delivered. Full Aisma edit plays the whole clip next to the original. The original is a stock clip from Pexels.

Will the curls keep their shape when the color changes?

They did here. The brief asked to keep “the same curls, volume and the way it moves in the wind,” and the copper curls lift and fall with each gust like the brown ones. Single strands aren’t traced one for one, so look at the hair around the face when you review your result.

Did anything else change?

One small thing: the edit shows small earrings on her ear that the original doesn’t. The brief kept her face but didn’t mention jewelry. If a detail near the hair matters, name it in the keep list, such as “no earrings,” or redo that part afterwards with Edit a clip.

Can I pick any shade?

Describe it the way you’d ask a stylist: “bright copper red,” “platinum blonde” or “soft pastel pink.” Naming the old color too, as this brief does with “dark brown,” tells Aisma whose hair to change and what it replaces.

What does a hair color change cost?

An 8-second clip like this costs 80 credits at 720p, the quality we used, or 160 at 1080p: 10 credits a second at 720p, 20 at 1080p. The number is on the Generate button before anything renders, and a part that fails costs nothing. See the pricing page for packs and plans.

Which videos can I use?

MP4 or MOV, 2–60 seconds, up to 500 MB, edited at 720p or 1080p. Aisma keeps your original framing and audio, and the finished edit is private, in your Library.
